Rose & Crown, Longburton

Mum (in her 80's) was taken there for lunch last year so recommended it when we said we would take her out for lunch on her birthday. As ever I am glad I took my Mums advice. 6 of us had different dishes & all were superb and all home made. The Steak in ale suet pudding was the best I have had in the last 20 years. Three beers on (Hall & Woodhouse) in excellent condition.

The Village, Salisbury

With out doubt the best choice of real ales in Salisbury. Downton Brewery�s Quadhop is a standard (& excellent) as is TT Landlord plus 3 others on regular turnover. Not impressive from the outside and while the inside could do with a bit of smartening I would hate to see the ambience change too much. Well worth the trip for anyone with a likeing for good beer

Ate there summer of 2007. food resonable & beer in good condition. Will be revisiting shortly (hence needing to find the number)
