The Brunswick Inn, Derby

Fantastic range of ales and a good clear board on the wall with all their names & strengths.

Been there three times now and thoroughly enjoyed them all. Will definitely be going back at some point. Very close to Derby train station

well kept beer & a very roomy place. Think its Victorian ? Plenty of places to sit and decent prices

the only downside (otherwise it would have got a 9) is the mens toilet. They are truly disgusting. The smell is awful. It stinks

The Barrels, Hereford

WHAT a pub. 6 hand pulled real ales & 4 ciders & all the usual Carling , Guinness etc

Went to Hereford for the first time at the weekend & this is EASILY the best pub in the town. Brilliant atmosphere & a really good pint. Good prices too

Live music in the back & a huge outdoor area.

AND a superb curry house (The Alsogor) right opposite. What more can anyone want ?

TOP TOP pub - I shall be coming back to Hereford & this is definitely worth another visit

The Pretty Pigs, Alvecote

The carvery here is fantastic. Cheap & excellent quality. Beer is good & its a really nice pub especially in the summer when you can sit outside. The views out the back are really good as it overlooks a large lake & a field with horses in it. A nice country pub on the outskirts of Tamworh. TOP pub

The Sir Robert Peel, Tamworth

If you like Guinness or real ale this is the place for you. Also has good live music on a regular basis. They have some cracking bar maids as well ! Can get packed on Saturday night as its not the largest pub in the world.

The Oldstone Cross, Tamworth

One of the best pubs in Tamuff. Beer is very good & the gaffer(s) are excellent. They have some excellent looking bar maids too !. Not frequented by the trendy trouble causers. Good pool table & a really nice outdoor area which is good in the summer (or if you want a fag)

The Winning Post, Tamworth

A good old fashioned pub. Superb beer & the locals are pretty friendly as are the bar staff. Good jukebox too. Recomended

The Jailhouse Rock Cafe, Tamworth

Bikers pub ? You`re having a laugh ! It may well be the home of the Jailers but the music is utter garbage. Its O.K during the week but at the weekend its awful. If you like yer rock music avoid like the plague. Sunday`s good for the pervs ;)
On the plus side they have a good selection of beers & bottles/cans. The gaffer is a top bloke but its gone downhill in the past year or so.

The Griffin Inn, Shustoke

Everything already said above is true !

If you like proper beer i,e real ales then this place is heaven. they have loads of variety & they know how to keep a pint.

The Pedigree is the best in the midlands - bar none!

It can get very busy at imes

in the middle of nowhere but well worth the visit.

a TOP pub

The Market Vaults, Tamworth

The boss & the bar staff are very friendly.

Juke box is superb (and free !)

they have regular guest ales which are always good. the cider is crap but they serve Newcastle Brown :)

a top pub - no trendy gits go in.

they also do food which is reasonably priced & home made & is very good.

a `proper` pub !
