| Pretty good since the refurb, although can be a little 'clicky' at times. Otherwise good sport-showing local, the real ale is pretty well kept, the decor is pleasant, as are the employees and they have improved the beer garden out the back. All in all quite pleasant, just be warned it gets very noisy and busy fri/sat evenings, so there is no such thing as a quiet pint in here at peak times. drd666 - 16 Jun 2009 15:44 |
| The Red Lion is now open again after a pretty major re-fit. Nice new wooden floors and seating, Sky Sports and new jukebox. Anyone who was familiar with the old Lion will be very surprised at how it now looks! I'm told some of the old regulars ain't keen, but you can't please everyone. | This pub is currently closed, hopefully about to undergo refurbishment. For many years my local, sadly the place slipped down the pan quite badly over the last couple of years for various reasons, but now has a new owner, apparently. | Friendly staff & beer is pretty good bit of an old farts pub :) but that aint no bad thing. can get very busy (especially when the darts team are at home) got a beer garden out the back with benches & an aviary ! recommended yam69 - 2 Jun 2005 00:05 |
