The Nags Head, Belgravia

Bloody Hell indeed! Visited again yesterday on our regular tour and although the beer was always 10p more expensive than elsewhere in the area yesterday took the biscuit! £5.00 for ordinary Adnams! Cough splutter!! Crisps £1.50 and peanuts £1.50. It might not have been quite so bad if it was not for the attitude of the young barperson, very abrupt. We will not be darkening its doors again and I suggest a lot of ex RAF groups who meet there ought to reconsider. Only Oligarchs can frequent here now. A great shame.

The Falcon Hotel, Wotton-under-Edge

Looks to me like it's well and truly open and refurbished. See new website. http://www.falconsteakhouse.com/

The Plough, Bletchingley

It has been closed for a few weeks and is now reemerging as the Bletchingley Arms from the sign. Kids toys in the garden gone and being turfed over. I wonder what beers will be there?

The Falcon Hotel, Wotton-under-Edge

Visited last friday evening early and two nice local pints, one was Uley and very nice and well kept. Called back again on Saturday and had Freeminer whiuch was also very good. The pub has a large dining area and specialising in steaks. There is a challange to try! 73 oz is the leader at the moment! Still is a pub in the end bar with friendly locals and good bar staff.

The Tuckers Grave Inn, Faulkland

Yes sadly it is true. Another gem caught up by time. It closes at the end of May. I made my first and last visit today on my way from Cornwall to Surrey and it was worth the detour. Seymour Arms from now on until that runs out of time and luck!

The Brass Monkey, Victoria

I don't know about what it was like but perfectly acceptable last week late afternoon. AND try the homemade porks cratchings hmmmm! My Tim Landlord was good too.

The Olive Tree, Banstead

Too late. Buldozers moved in week before last. Don't know what will replace it.

Green Parrot, Perranporth

Went today having not noticed the 'opening soon' note on the Wetherspoons web page! Oops. I was not the only one as several othe couples wher looking at the sign that gave the distinct impression that the Parrot was open. A friendly builder quotes the 22nd as an opening date. Too late for me, next year probably. It even has a car park!

The Station Hotel, South Nutfield

Well no-one seems to have had much to say of late so I would say if you are looking for a very good selection of ciders and even draught Westons Perry then eithe go to Deal in Kent or The Station Hotel. I always get a friendly reception and I think the atmosphere and locals are just fine.

The Padwell Arms, Seal

On the up again with a new man in charge for the last couple of months I believe. I have used this pub on occasions for many years but I had not been there for quite a while and was unaware of recent problems. Now however I enjoyed a few nice couple of pints from a good range of beers from far and wild, Nice not to see the normal resticted choice of guest beers that can often be found in places. A useful and informed discussion on the bers avaiable then ensued. Didn't eat as only out for a quick beer but everything seems to be positive. Try it and see.

The Jack Fairman, Horley

Well I have been using the Fairman since it opened and a quiet country pub it isn't. It is a Wetherspoons which means lots of beer and wholesome food at indecently low prices. At the times I visit I like the atmosphere and rarely have any problems with the beer, food, people or getting served. I keep going back and I keep going to other Horley pubs and everone has it's plusses and minuses!

The Windjammer, Dartmouth

A very pleasant visit and the the beer options were fine. Lamdlord friendly and chatty quite late in a midweek evening. Like the choice of Radio Sation too and very original play method! A good option to the adjacent pubs.
