The White House, Guildford

Popped in this afternoon after a stroll along the river. Good location. Service was OK. Really enjoyed a couple of pints of their Suffolk cider. Food: Roast Lamb, just about acceptable. Chicken Tikka Massala, not very good at all.

Monkey Puzzle, Chessington

A completely souless place to visit. It feels something akin to dining in a warehouse or an aircraft hangar. The food was bland at best. Service was slow considering there was only a handfull of customers there when we visited.

The Bell Inn, Godstone

We visited this pub last month for a bite to eat on a Saturday afternoon. The place was quite quiet which you would probably expect at this time. The first thing that struck us was how very clean the place was. Our food was good and service was friendly. The restaurant area where we ate was pleasant. Prices were pretty standard I think.

Crown Point Inn, Seal

Popped in here yesterday for a Sunday lunch after visiting nearby Igitham Mote(highly recommended). We had the best Sunday lunch we had had for a very long time. The meat was very well cooked and the vegetables were lovely and fresh. Also the meal was hot, which can be a bit of a rarity these days. We also ordered a fish and chips for our son off the kids menu which was OK, though the chips weren't brilliant,I think they possibly need to change their deep-frying oil. Also had two very tasty puddings which came in generous helpings.
Service was very good and friendly and the food and drink was reasonably priced. Only one worrying thing, why is the place so quiet?

The Smugglers Inn, Dawlish

Visited this pub recently whilst on holiday in Dawlish Warren. Went in on a Sunday afternoon and the place was packed, just about managed to find a table. We had a carvery meal which we found pretty good with a good selection of veg. Maybe slightly exspensive but on the whole ok. Service was reasonable considering they were very busy.

The Welcome Inn, Dawlish Warren

Popped in here recently whilst on holiday in Dawlish Warren. The place is very outdated and scruffy. We were going to order some food but after a visit to the toilets we quickly changed our minds and finished our drinks before leaving. This place seriously needs some money spent on it. Would be unsuprised to see this pub shut down if I visited next year.

The Boathouse Tavern and Grill, Dawlish Warren

Ate here 3 times lately whilst on holiday in Dawlish Warren. Nice location overlooking the sea. Found the food pretty good and reasonably priced. Service was OK though it was always pretty quiet when we visited, would wonder though how they manage in the peak season when I would imagine the place is rammed and pretty manic.
