The Chancellors, Hammersmith

Visited last night before a gig at the Odeon. Great little traditional pub hidden away in the back streets. Good beer and friendly bar stuff.

The Artillery Arms, Old Street

This is a great pub with good Fullers ales, good staff and a tv showing the cricket. What more can you ask for?

The Nags Head, Islington

Not a bad pub. Went there at lunch time and was quite quiet but this was fine by me. Got served without waiting and the beer was good.

The Horniman at Hays, Southwark

Pluses
good range of bitters at prices that are average for this area
- err, thats it

Minuses
- Suits paying with a credit card
- running out of certain beers by 7PM
- waiting 20 minutes to be served
- everything else.

An awful pub. Wont be going there again.

The Saucy Kettle, Surbiton

Went in last week just before the Chelski Liverpool game. Much, much nicer than I remember and the bar staff were good natured.

Usually go to a traditional Youngs or Fullers type pub but would certainly go again, infact I am going again next Tuesday.

The Ship Tavern, Holborn

Nice pub but very packed on the evening I was there (Friday 23/11/07).

The Little Windsor, Sutton

This is a fantastic pub. I have only been here half a dozen times over the past year or so but each time the staff have been pleasant and the others in the bar (presumably locals) willing to talk to you. The beer is kept well and tastes as it ought to.

Although I could not recommend this pub highly enough, it isnt huge and I don't want to find it packed when I am there again next month.

The Boaters Inn, Kingston Upon Thames

On recent visits I have been impressed with this pub. Nice atmosphere.

Bishop Out Of Residence, Kingston Upon Thames

Used to be a regular haunt of mine 20 years ago. Went back to find it very expensive and they wanted us to drink out of plastic even though we said we would be inside.

The Surbiton Flyer, Surbiton

A decent pub although has been quite quiet on the occasions I have been there recently.

Clifton Arms, South Norwood

Not too bad but can be murder getting served from about 2 hours before kick-off. Closest pub to Palace so this is hardly surprising.

The Sutton Arms, Clerkenwell

This is a great traditional pub. Each time I have been there the bar staff have been great, the beer good and food reasonable. By far the best proper pub in the area.

Used to be a bit smoky but this wont be a problem any more.
