Local beers in bottles (but not on draught) and lagers, ciders etc. Has a hard time overcoming its almost total lack of atmosphere unfortunately as they do seem to be making an effort.

I've been to the Saucy Kettle a couple of times recently after a long gap. What a nice surprise. They've now got Thai Food, the only authentic Thai in Surbiton. Great grub and lovely service. The menu's a bit short but they've just started - no complaints from me.

I wasn't too sure about going to the Kettle, especially because i'd seen some of the reviews on beer in th evening. I didn't even know it wos open late. I actually ended up having a really good night, despite what i'v read about it. Everyone was really nice and the doormen were really pleasant. And they'v even got a DJ! Drinks were a bit more than my local, but apparently they're bigger measures. This place would be perfect if it had a proper garden and smokign area. I'm definitely gonna go again. You'd hav to go into Kingston if u wantd to drink past midnight on the weekend!

Why the manager Frank doesn't take a customer relations course is anyone's guess. He is past his sell by date. I know of at least five people who don't go in there any more due to his very rude manner to his regular customers. Why should anyone spend their hard earned money there, when on a Saturday night at 11pm there are four police cars and vans outside because of all the trouble, is anyone's guess. Why anyone would want to be in a pub full of drunken chavs is beyond me. We have plenty of pubs in surbiton, Frank the owner only has one.

I'm truly shocked by some of the PERSONAL comments directed at the owners of this pub!! i have been drinking in there on and off for a number of years now and have never exprienced anything like what some of people are saying.
I tend to go in at weekends when it's busy with a younger crowd for a party atmosphere. DJ's cater for all ages and you can't fault the bar staff friendly and attentive plus they have a late license and for an older drinker like myself it's a bonus!! There have been comments about the bouncers they can be a bit over the top but they are only doing this as the pub zero tolerence on drugs i found this out one night while i was being "frisked" took a couple seconds no harm done and i was in to meet my mates for a great night... I suspect some of the comments maybe from someone who maybe is not the sort of customer you need! Lets be fair these comments are pretty personal...I've had my say check this place out as they still have the most amazing selection of beers and spirits i have ever seen in a pub!!!!
