THE CAMBRIA, CAMBERWELL

Just been back here for the first time in a little while. We tried their Tuesday curry night buffet, which was excellent value. Still a good atmosphere too.

The Garland, Redhill

Quiet, pleasant and unassuming pub in an unlikely location. Great selection of drinks, but no food on a Saturday night when I visited. Definitely worth a visit if you are a beer lover.

The Duke of York, Borough

Good selection of drinks, nice food, and away from the bustle. A little bit on the snug side, but worth exploring.

The Tiger, Denmark Hill

Since changing hands and becoming The Tiger this place is 100% improved and totally different.
Readers should ignore all the previous comments, because these relate to a different pub.
The Tiger is warm, relaxed, fresh and an oasis in Camberwell Green. Drinks and food are reasonably priced, the staff are friendly and the meal I enjoyed there this week was good.
Its still a new team so I guess service could have been a little quicker, but overall this is definitely worth a visit.
I am sure this will be stiff competition to the near-by Bear, Grand Union and Sun & Doves>

The Bear Free House, Camberwell

This is a fantastic pub in an area that is becoming rapidly competitive for good drinking holes.
Less pretentious than Sun & Doves and a fun, simple atmosphere. The food and drink is great, if a little expensive, and the pub quiz is worth a go.
Friendly staff and always guest ales if you're into that sort of thing.

The Clifton Arms, Caterham

Considering the lack of decent pubs in Caterham, or even within a few miles, The Clifton really stands out. Clean, friendly and with the added bonus of lots of history. A great place for a simple pint.

Wattenden Arms, Kenley

This is a great little 'proper' pub, conveniently placed for local walks and with a friendly atmosphere. The food is perfectly reasonable for the bargain prices and there are plenty of beers to choose from.

THE CAMBRIA, CAMBERWELL

This is a really great pub, that was recently refurbished. The staff are friendly, the food is reasonably priced compared with some of the other local pubs and the customers a good mix. Recommended.
