HORRIBLE ! How could ANY pub possibly be this vile? Animals for staff, and it's a miracle if you get served anyway.......as for eating in here, HA HA HA!

Bankes Arms Hotel and Country Inn, Studland

I agree with martaddick. Very very poor, badly run by less than amateur staff. Even the tables are cheap painted non pub like tables. Below average everything. Pathetic.

Nondescript pint and miserable git is the norm here. I went through a phase of walking out in disgust at the way one is treated in there, eg, being the only person needing to be served, and not being served. I was attempting to teach them something exotic like manners, serving customers etc. Trust me, it won't work here.

God, sounds awful, maybe Roger Brown had just visited the loo.

vinnie:- I think you're mis spelling of your word "descent" is probably the most appropriate word of all as it happens.

The Square and Compass, Worth Matravers

I can only agree with the praise. I suppose one comment I can add, is that this pub seems to have that wonderful old feature of having, "intelectuals, craftsmen, thinker drinkers," for its' regulars. Beat that!

The White Swan, Swanage

The safest thing to do with this pub, is get your bottled drink, and drink it outside. Although a bit fumy, watching Swanage go by is nice.

I'm no fan of football, but if I'm in the mood to join in, shout and drink, then this is the place. Not to mention the excellent live music for afters!

Crows Nest Inn, Swanage

Slightly out of town, but the "super chef" makes it easily worth while. Very happy sipping good beer in the window seat.

It will do, food's OK. Pity there's no outside, because then we get the smokers congregating outside the main front door as is the norm now for many pubs.

The food is only the tip of the iceberg. This "pub" has had it.
