The Millers Arms, Pershore

Under new management and what a transformation! Now one of my favorite pubs in Pershore. Well kept Wadworth and a selection of ciders. Live music on Friday and other interesting evening pastimes during the week. Let's hope it gets the custom it deserves.

The Millers Arms, Pershore

Closed (again) at New Year 2011 following brawling in the street. Due to open March 2012. Will it shake off its dreadfull image? Let's hope so - it has the potential to be a cracking pub. Watch this space.

Ship Inn, Mevagissey

Now under proper management and just as a good pub should be - welcoming, good range of well kept beer, good (well priced) pub food. Live music occasionally. Highly recommended. Just shows what a bit of perseverance will do for you!

The New Inn, Pershore

Welcoming small town pub on the High St. - it is only lacking cask ales. Well placed for Jimmy Pickles curry house over the road. Apparently there isn't the demand for real ale, so they don't stock it, which is fair enough. but still a shame. Probably a bit lively on a Saturday evening!

The Plum Tree, Pershore

Not only is it now closed, but has actually been demolished! Another one bites the dust.

Ye Olde Red Horse, Evesham

Have always enjoyed dropping in, usually before a curry. Friendly staff, well kept beer, roaring fire (it was November!) Menu looks interesting, I think they pride themselves on their steaks. Slightly quirky, but none the worse for that.

The Anchor Inn, Wyre Piddle

Recently taken over and completely refurbished. Great riverside gardens and spectacular decking area. Extremely friendly and attentive staff. Good food, well kept beers. Well worth a visit after years of neglect, especially in the Summer.

The Millers Arms, Pershore

Recently changed hands (again) and signs are more promising. Nicely refurbished and back to being a good pub. Awaiting chimney cleaner when I went, in order to start using open fire again, which will be great. Possibly a bit lively at weekends for some of us. Good Wadworths. Same owners as The Angel, but less frightening prices.

The Brandy Cask, Pershore

Cosy in the winter, fantastic riverside gardens in the summer. Micro brewery on the premises provides Brandy Snapper (amongst others) which is one of my all time favourites. Always welcoming. Good pub food. A gem.

The Kings Arms, Mevagissey

Now closed. A great shame to see another pub lost. For sale/To let signs in place. Any takers?

The Fountain, Lichfield

Nobody has mentioned the live music on Friday and Saturday! Great venue for bands, extremely friendly landlord (a musician himself) and good selection of real ales - only managed the Hobgoblin myself. Should be supported. Use it or lose it.

Fountain Inn, Mevagissey

Wonderful little pub with roaring fire in main bar and useful back room for families. Well kept Tribute. a lovely place to spend an afternoon dreaming of living in a proper Cornish fishing port.

Ship Inn, Mevagissey

Potentially great pub with St. Austell beers, sightly spoiled for me by supercilious bar staff - Q. What wine have you got? A. Red or white. OK this may be a bit oversensitive and may have been meant in jest, but we have found the same kind of off-handed treatment on two or three occasions.
