| Visited in April 2012, but only for beer, not food... Beer was good (St.Austell ales) and we got talking to a couple from Winchester who were camping. | Visited in July 2011. Had to double-check that we went to the same place as previous reviewers. Our visit was very disappointing, young bar staff couldn't answer simple questions about the menu and the food was terrible - dried up, reheated and overpriced for what it was. | Now under proper management and just as a good pub should be - welcoming, good range of well kept beer, good (well priced) pub food. Live music occasionally. Highly recommended. Just shows what a bit of perseverance will do for you! smayles - 13 Aug 2011 15:11 |
