The Porters Lodge, Monument

zzzzzzzz

Ye Three Lords, Aldgate

Decent little boozer, darts match went on downstairs, accomodating staff changed the channel so I could watch my football bet lose, couple of tasty barmaids as well. Scrumpy instead of Strongbow which is a plus also.

Rileys IQ, Belgravia

soulless, expensive, and the 3d tv didn't even work when I was in there

The Stirling Castle Bar, Glasgow

nice boozer, friendly staff, reasonably priced.

The Park Bar, Glasgow

One to avoid on matchdays, they're oh too happy to take Bluenoses money but they'd go out of their way to make sure you don't enjoy yourself. Louden or District are far better options...

The Louden Tavern, Glasgow

Great place, great paint job, great atmosphere, simply the best!

Ye Olde Swiss Cottage, Swiss Cottage

my old local, it's got something for everyone. The more middle-class people can go in the lounge bars, while the "rougher" clientele (myself included) would be in the darts tap room and pool room (when they bother to open it!) Sam Smith's booze, dirt cheap, the cider is particularly strong and bowel-afflicting the next morning, but plenty a good night to be had amongst the regulars having a game of darts.

The Sea Horse, Mansion House

played a game of darts down there, the throw is pretty awful tucked away in a corner, and the lighting isn't much better. Lazy playing of music through music channels is also evident as mentioned below, and would only really go back there when my team has to play there, wouldn't go by choice.

The Peacock, Tower Hill

Been there once or twice, OK when you've got the upstairs to yourself for a game of darts, despite the lack of proper oches and sub-standard lighting compared to other venues, but as soon as someone gets on the pool table you might as well not bother. Also a bit irritating to be going up and down stairs every ten minutes.

The Still and Star, Aldgate

played a darts match there, a bit cramped, but a decent enough throw and friendly staff

The White Hart, Whitechapel

played a darts match there, staff are accomodating of the team games and close the main door off so that the game isn't interrupted. Next to Burger King which is always a bonus!

The Aldgate Exchange, Aldgate

decent pub, been in there for darts a few times, average facilities where that's concerned, but excellent interior and lots of big screens, would be a good venue to watch the football...

The Britannia, Monument

Horrid little place, with rude staff, idiot bouncers, and a general lack of cleanliness. Cheap though, so you get what you pay for I suppose.

The Porters Lodge, Monument

Simply THE home of darts in the City, if not London as a whole. Twice monthly Opens, normally won by top County players, teams in 5 or 6 different leagues, and of course the IDL, the biggest singles league anywhere, with over 50 players of all standards playing week in week out. I started going in the Lodge about 2 and a half years ago, when there were 2 dartboards, one or two teams, and the Gaffer has worked his a*se off to raise the profile of the pub, now with 8 boards, all Blade 3 or 4s as supplied by a top name in the darts supply world, and the ideal place for corporate darts events, or just a night out with your mates, as long as you book in advance as it's often jam-packed of an evening.

The Bell, Cannon Street

nice boozer, no space inside which means everyone ends up outside and blocking the entrance to the betting shop next door though!
