Please why is the downstairs bar virtualy never open? beer is great and the prices are great. Upstairs bar needs a shake up! Could be a a fantastic local. rating was 7 3 years ago now 5

the nice thing about the Broadway is that it is children (brat) free and adults can drink the well kept standard and guest beers in peace !. The food is fine and sensibly priced also.

Great pub excelent atmosphere, good choice of well kept ales. A credit to Bill and Sue, always a friendly welcome ,even to dogs!.

The Bear Inn, Alderwasley
First went in the Bear about 30 years ago and it has only changed for the better, food is excelent, not the cheapest but the quality justifies. Beer also cock on. Highly recomended.
