Went in on Wednesday night to be informed they were closing at 10.00 p.m. No one in, no atmosphere, nothing to recommend this place.

Classic real ale pub, lost of choice and deservedly very busy when we called one lunchtime.

Nothing special but certainly not unfriendly on our visit. My wife wanted a coffee which it appears they do not usually sell but the barmaid went into the back and made her one. Worth an extra point for that alone.

Absolute gem of a pub, wide choice of real ales and a tourist attraction in itself. A must visit for any holidaymaker.

This must be the worst pub in Liverpool if not in the world. Full of drunks, dossers and the like. Avoid unless you are desperate.

Absolutely packed and featuring karaoke singers who prove not all people in Liverpool know what a tune is. OK if you like that sort of thing but otherwise awful.

Looks a lot scruffier than on the photo but having said that a real boozer for real people. People outside smoking is a fact of life nowadays so get used to it. Excellent choice of beers brewed on the site.

Can only agree with the Wetherspoons comparisons but still offers good value meals with decent real ale.

Vastly overpriced £1.75 for half of John Smiths smooth. If you have time, walk a few yards out of the station and get a better, cheaper drink anywhere.
