The Trocadero, Birmingham

Well Well Well this place could be so good except its like the advertising pages of the local rag.....!!! Very cheap in every aspect especially the lady behind the bar think she is management.

if you are looking for QUALITY don't drink here a short walk to the top of the road will find you quality in abundance at The Old Joint Stock.

The Troc tho all said and done is good for a cheep drink when SHE is not behind the bar slagging everybody off.

The Old Joint Stock, Birmingham

There have been big changes at The Old Joint Stock and it seems to be for the better, The Beer is looking and tasting good and the service has improved 100%. The food is tasty and the pub now has a dining area with full table service, DID YOU KNOW there is a Theatre on the second floor of this outstanding and beautiful building, It is well worth a visit.

Monks Head, Larkfield

popped in to the Monks head on a Saturday afternoon, from what i remember of the quaint little pub a few years ago that had great service and good food and was welcoming, all that is well and truly past. stood at the bar for about 10 mins while the rather unsightly staff possibly the managers had coversations with rather grotesque people sitting at the bar.. I don't like being ignored at the best of times but more so when I want to buy a pint !! we madev a hasty retreat feeling very disappointed..... I WOULD STRONGLY SUGGEST MISSING THIS PUB NOW AT ALL COSTS JUST TO AVOID BEING DISAPPOINTED.. A real shame because this place used to be a real gem of a country pub.
