The Peacock, Gravesend

Once saw a man eat a his own finger in here one Friday morning. Probably one to give a miss.

The Jolly Drayman, Gravesend

Funny story from the JD. Was there on a Tuesday night after I went to AMF. A drunk guy staggered out of the boozer, a fire engine races past, siren wailing and lights flashing. The geezer starts chasing the engine, running as fast as he can until eventually he collapses, gasping for breath. In a last act of desperation he shouts after the fire engine, "If that's the way you want it, you can keep your bloody ice creams!"

The Grapes, Gravesend

Not the same since Roy and Sonia left. New owners have let it down, full of wanna be middle class scum.

The George Inn, Gravesend

Well the missus got the surprise of her life last weekend when we popped down into the George Inn. She'd somehow got it into her head we'd be up the West end chompin on some tapas. However I must admit the scampi consumed was nothing short of spectacular, the knockers on the barmaid weren't bad either. The dart board could do with a spring clean, and the local's conversation verged on racist. Didn't spoil a top night in your old fashioned "what you see is what you get" boozer.

The Pembroke, Gravesend

Can't speak highly enough about the pub. Fantastic. Always a good place to go before hitting bar24, a must see for all pub goers up and down the country. Service isn't always the best but this shouldn't deter anyone. Trouble in there occasionally but I love that type of thing.

The Millers Cottage, Gravesend

Not for me. Very rowdy during the week and similarly at the weekend. On the plus side, good darts board.

The Echo, Gravesend

Recently refurbished in the past few weeks. Lovely local battle cruiser. I'm lucky enough to live nearby and the atmosphere in there has always been friendly and upbeat. Well worth a visit

The Milton Ale Shades, Gravesend

Don't agree with the below comment AT ALL. Great childhood memories here. The owners a really friendly and though the local riff raff are present occasionally i doesn't bring down the atmosphere in the slightest. Good ale and lively debate on political issues are a plenty.

The Kings Head, Gravesend

Cracking little boozer. Great atmosphere, can't praise it enough. If your looking for tear up though, not the place for you. Friendly atmosphere and a lovely pair on one of the bar women. Well worth a visit if you're ever out in Gravesend
