Top ale, staff & guvnor. Definitely the best in Croydon, even has live music acts. Great atmosphere, and a nice suntrap garden.

Great ales & staff, really good service & on the ball as far as keeping any undesirables out. Makes for a nice atmosphere, shame no garden & the toilets are in the old bank vault so don't hold on til the last minute! Pub award well deserved, a must 4 anyone in Croydon!

Great Guinness, nice landlord & landlady and friendly locals who'll chat with anyone. The landlady even puts out some sarnies & pork pies for free, a nice place to watch football whoever you support, plenty of good-humoured banter.

Nice atmosphere & friendly staff, however they have never got my food order right in the 5 times I've eaten there & the food is sometimes cold on arrival (not the plates, they're always scolding just the food). Good place if you have kids as there's a lovely park opposite with no road 2 cross so you can watch them easily. Beers ok nothing special but quite expensive, wine's not bad though. My advice if you're hungry order bar snacks (chicken wings, etc) otherwise you might wait a long time for your order.
