Auld Shillelagh, Stoke Newington

A beacon of honesty in a sea of shite. Please don't ever change...

The Nicholas Nickleby, Stroud Green

Went there the other night and I swear I saw the drummer, John Brandham, from The Peoples Revolutionary Choir drinking with a guy from eastenders. That band are my latest favourite. Really powerful stuff. I expected him to be stuck up his own arse, being in such a great band, but he looked really friendly with his mates. Too friendly sometimes, but great pub anyway. Great band. Great.

The Moon Under Water, Leicester Square

Why would any sane person want to sit and have a pint in leicester squre. Its absolutely beyond me. God only knows what happens there of a friday night.

The Faltering Fullback, Finsbury Park

My new favourite pub by far. Nice staff, nice tables, nice chairs, nice food nice crazy crap on the ceilings. Its a first choice in that area. Did go down there the other saturday after a big rugby match and there was a distinct whiff of all day drinking violence in the air which was quite off putting and i never felt that there before, so going to avoid rugby games from now on.

Winchester Pub Hotel, Highgate

The Lock Tavern, Camden

Ive tried a few roasts in my time round london and Ive always been looking for one better than the lock taverns so I dont have to go there because going for a nice Sunday dinner opposite Camden market is just wrong. But yeah, Ive just come to the conclusion that it is the best. Now to figure out a way to empty out camden on a sunday....

Spaniards Inn, Hampstead Heath

Went to the other side of the tracks on Sunday for a nice walk and roast. The food was alright but not for a tenner. Not a patch on the Lock Tavern. Its a really nice old pub but it was the large majority of the people in there that spoiled it for me. Im going to be blunt, rich people dont know how to say sorry. Lots of ignorance towards the staff aswell, who just seemed used to it and took it and the table next to us brought in three dogs which is just lame. Only blind people and one old man with a flat cap should be allowed to take dogs to a pub.

Big Red, Holloway

If the roasts are always like the one i had on sunday all the time just dont bother with them. 7 for a plate of microwaved pork, mash potato and mashed carrots. It was truly the worst plate of food ive ever been served in a pub and for that price. It actually ruined my life for about half an hour then i got over it.

Big Red, Holloway

I really like this place but I cant go in there without spending billions of pounds what with the day drinking sessions playing pool and keeping the blinding jukebox ticking along and succoming the stench of meat that makes you want to eat a wild boare. Ooh, and playing choose your favourite playboy girl from the 50's playboy bunnies poster is fun too.

The Victoria, Camden

The best tuna melt i ever had. Ever.

Nambucca, Upper Holloway

I think some of you people are drastically misunderstanding the point of Nambucca. Its a pub, yes, but mainly its a music venue for people who enjoy music to come and socialise with youthful artistic creative non-chav people and watch bands, run by youthful artistic creative non-chav people. Hence loud music, Saturday night charged gigs and not really caring about fancy sofas.

Oh and anonymous 22 may, the best pub in holloway? Sarcasm my dear, sarcasm.

The Cobden Arms, Camden

Despite the exterior looking pointless, the innards told quite a different story. It was Irish, again, and thankfully had minimal crazy Irish crap and Guinness paraphernalia on the walls. Place mats on all tables were heartwarming and enticed the reviewer to want to eat. But because I already had, I didnt. The soup smelt amazing. Clientele were quiet types, mainly the elderly and solitary. It felt like your Nan's on a Sunday. With a fruit machine. Nice.
