The Lion, Stoke Newington

i suspect i may have been the one putting on a million songs... my taste in music isn't that bad though (as long as you like the smiths, cure and cold war kids...)
i love this pub, i learnt through the jukebox that freedom by wham was number one when i was born! nice garden, reasonably priced beer, and right on the route of the 73 to take me home afterwards :-)

The Mucky Pup, Angel, Islington

free jukebox! need i say anymore? ok, there's some proper gorgeous retro lights in the back next to the pool table, and yeah it's expensive, but it's angel, officially the best kept secret rip-off in london. so enjoy if you're feeling flush-ish...

The Barley Mow, Shoreditch

of course there were asymmetrical haircuts, ridiculous hair-pieces and unbelievably tight jeans; nonetheless the pub was friendly, served good old litovel, and played some wicked music! i'd recommend for a sane night in shoreditch.

Big Red, Holloway

have dropped in here on my way to the dirty water club, and it's a fantastic place to spend an evening.

The Salisbury, Harringay

i'm intrigued to learn that my local is a tourist trap! do tourists really find themselves in the general turnpike lane ares when sightseeing? hmmm. anyway, i've had the best nights ever in this pub, it's unpretentious, the cure are frequently on the jukebox :-), and there's about a million fantastic places to get drunken food at 2am nearby. oh and i've seen some pretty cool bands here too.
