The Whitehall, Bristol

A good advert for cheap beer coming at a price. Not the best pub in the area but not the worst either. I have a couple of pints when i'm up that way. Not much more to say really

The Chelsea Inn, Easton

First pub i tried after moving to Easton. Looks quite traditional from the outside and i was looking forward to seeing what they had on offer. when i walked in my first impession was to walk out again (more space cadets than Nasa). But i stayed and bought a drink then went to the garden area for a smoke. But when i got out there i took one look around and left the pub.

The Sugar Loaf, Easton

I moved to Bristol just after Christmas from London and spent a couple of weeks sizing up the pubs in the my new area (Easton). I tried the Sugar Loaf near the end of my wanderings and thank god there is a pub like that in Easton. A few pubs i tried left me feeling very uneasy about just being in them, but although sometimes the Sugar Loaf has quite a colourful variety of punters you feel safe in there because everyone gets on with each other.

Anyway, the beers are good, 3 ales, 9 ciders (with another being added soon) and 3 lagers if you like that kind of thing. I was told the garden was opening in a few weeks and from what i've seen through the doors in the pool room it looks pretty good, lets hope this summer is not a wash out.

As for the last comment, do you go to an off licence buy 6 cans of lager and ask them for free water?. Yes it does get busy and glasses do back up from time to time, but they must be doing something right to be that busy.
