Another great Easton pub. Very cosy, sofas etc. Impressive selection of gin and good beer choice. Got a very friendly vibe about the place. Go there. MrBlue - 12 Nov 2015 16:00 |
excellent large pub just seconds away from stapleton road station, four ales on offer included otter ale, cotswold spring codrington old codger, and goffs lamorak (which was lovely and just 2.95 pint) superb beer garden at rear,7/10 fat_beer_badger - 6 Aug 2011 16:19 |
Good size pub conveniently located right next to the railway station. Smallish bar off to the left with some comfy red velvet seating and a larger bar off to the right with a fruit machine, quiz machine, etc. and another room behind that with a pool table. There are a couple of tables out the front to sit and watch the world go by, although unfortunately I didnt realise they had a garden so didnt try that. Friendly locals. Beers on this occasion were Doom Bar, Codrington Codger and Brains Rev. James. Cider is where this pub seems to shine though, with Addlestones, Thatchers Gold, Blackthorn, Thatchers Dry, Black Rat and Cheddar Valley. There was even Thatchers Gold Slush think Slush Puppy, but made with cider! Very pleasant on a warm summers evening. Blackthorn - 13 Jul 2010 09:34 |
I have been using this pub for about 5 months and i have impressed with how tidy it is compared to some in the area. well kept beers and the newly decked garden is amazing. you should make a point of having a beer in there when you are in Easton, you won't be disappointed. mickrichards - 17 Jun 2010 18:07 |
Re: Free Tap Water... The DO have to supply Tap Water if requested. Have a word with the City Council Licensing Office who will tell you that they SHOULD be displaying a notice "Free tap water available on request". Pub over Briz way had a visit and got ticked off for it. Briz_Drinking_Bloke - 31 Oct 2009 16:47 |
