St Leonards Hotel, St Leonards

Looks like someone's been reading the reviews - went back for a second visit - Everywhere tidy and spotless. Food still the same good standard.

The Botany Bay Inn, Winterborne Zelston

Arrived for Sunday lunch car park full thats a good sign, its popular.
Got a friendly welcome from behind the bar. No table available in the restaurant but thats wasnt a problem, we were happy to have a drink in the very pleasant garden. Wandered back into the bar, theres a table available sir. All very impressive up to this point.
Waited 20 minutes for the order to be taken sorry I thought youd ordered. After another 10 minutes sorry we havent got any salmon (one of the starters). The main courses eventually arrived but, oh dear, the roasties were well and truly roasted and a steak knife would have been useful to cut through the beef. Gave up waiting to order a desert. We were finally presented with the bill along with a sorry for the mix-up. So were we.
