We also had a bad food experience here over the festive break they had run out of nearly all there supplies and the food was poorly presented not the birds usual standard we too were told that the chef was on his own and that there had been a problem with the delivery we did complain at the time but it didnt make the situation any better come on guys sort it out you've always had an excellent reputation for food

It's had a few celebs in lately saw Helen Chamberlain & James Wade in there when Woking played Torquay a few weeks back and the panto cast have been in there most lunchtimes, although I havent seen them myself agree with chain smoker the smoking shelter is the dogs makes me want to start smoking again :-)

Definately one of the better pubs that woking has to offer, nice atmosphere

it's hit and miss depending on the crowd but all in all not a bad boozer - providing you like lager :-)

we went here a few weeks ag on a rare sunny day - we were warned about a wait for food but when it did eventually come they'd cooked the wrong pies we then were told we had to wait again so we asked for a refund - no apology and a couldn't care less attitude which was disappointing as the location is pretty perfect, wont bother going back!

I dont frequent many pubs so can only review the ones I go to! This is imo a great local pub always delivers (apart from the grumpy barmaid who I haven't seen for ages - thankfully!)Early evenings is a bonus as beers only 2.50 a pint so usually pop in on my way home.

This is a chef & brewer pub which is a spirit company not punch pub, - (don't think beersupper likes punch <g>) this pub does have ups & downs but it does do a nice sunday lunch

Prices were resonable but food service & food could be improved, went there over Easter to try it out, the staff were a bit like buses didnt see one for ages then 3 would come along together, limited menu and the chef must have been having a bad day as the food was undercooked and uninteresting will give it another go in a few months when they've had chance to sort out teething problems

Although I like this pub on the whole they have one barmaid who is a real miserable cow who it seems doesnt like her job and keeps you waiting while she flirts or reads her paper - avoid staying if shes working easy to spot by her body piercings!

all i can say is don't bother staff seemed rather p*ssed and very old! it really was the worst pub i've been in recently.

Staff really let this place down - they stand around doing anything but serve! It's a bit expensive too but the setting is pure heaven

Always busy, great atmosphere good for a party. staff friendly best place locally to watch footie, agree that it has limited selection of real ales but you cant have everything - looking good since refurb
