A good atmosphere and friendly staff, but unfortunately no ales (unless you count Newcastle Brown).

A great pub. They serve badger ales, which are not my favourites but they are well kept and the hoffbrau lager makes a welcome change from the stella/fosters/carlsberg stuff served elsewhere.
Probably the best place in wimborne to spend a sunny afternoon as there is a large and pleasant beer garden, situated beside the river.

The most expensive pub in wimborne. The ales are poorly kept and the service is terrible. Avoid if you can, the green man over the road, or the kings head round the corner are FAR better choices.

Small pub. Decent beer, though nothing special. It's worth popping in, but there are far better pubs in wimborne.

This is one of my favourite pubs. The beer is excellent, and the wadworth ales make an interesting change from the ringwood or badger served elsewhere in wimborne.
Trail_Blazers description is pretty accurate but he didn't mention (likely didn't know) that there are a couple of pool tables in an old stable behind the pub.

I really enjoy this pub when it's not too busy. It becomes busy when there's a game on that everyone wants to see and becomes totally crammed on friday and saturday nights.
The beer is good and the food is usually quite good too.

The Coach and Horses, Wimborne
Nice pub this one. It tends to be very quiet except on friday and saturday nights when it becomes quite lively (as do all pubs in wimborne).
The food is good and the beer is well kept.

A great little pub that serves good beer. They have a fair selection of american whisky which isn't often seen in the area. As everyone pretty much knows everyone else it may seem a little unwelcoming to newcomers. But challenge someone to a game of pool and you'll find the regulars are a friendly bunch.
Food here is simple but very good.

I tend to avoid the albion when in wimborne. The staff can be quite rude and the service slow. When you do finally get served though the beer is good (for blandford brewery).

The Kings Head is a hotel, but the bar is open to the general public. The staff are friendly and the real ales are very good. If you're doing a pub crawl around wimborne, it's best to visit the Kings early on as they are not so welcoming to very drunk customers.

Nice place to sit with a few friends. Beers ok, but no ales and only extra cold guiness.

Nice beer. Until it gets too smoky to enjoy it that is.
One to certainly try again when the new laws come in.

A nice clean bar. Good sofas, different bottled lagers (though these are certainly not the cheapest drinks on offer).
Good during the day if you want a drink and chat with a few mates. Good in the evening if you want to get lashed on vodka and alcopops (not my scene so don't take my word for it).

I don't think shellov's review is really fair.
It's not a family pub, certainly, but they serve good beer and the staff are friendly.
I wouldn't leave a coat or bag (or girlfriend) alone in there, but if you enjoy a game of pool and a decent bitter then it's not a bad place at all.
In shellov's review, for 'inbred' read irish. I found the locals to be friendly, although it's not a place to go if you prefer to be left alone.

The White Hart Inn, Wimborne
Quite a good pub, good ale, nice staff. It's not my first choice in wimborne by some way, but I have had some good nights here.
