Royal Oak, Braithwaite

During a weekend camping I visited the pub on several occasions. Its is a pleasant traditional looking pub with a full range of Jennings ale.The beer is well looked after and the food is good if pricey. However the food is very good and you get large portions and if you don't want a big meal try the childrens meals which are the same as the main meals but more than adequate at half the price.Yiu can book for a small dining area or go early to get a table in the bar.So pleasant pub for anyboby and prices reflect where it is.

The Hart Inn, Hartland

Nice friendly pub in a quiet village. Had Yellow Hammer and Doom Bar Bitter on when I visited and both were kept well. Newspapers available useful if you fancy a quiet pint on your own. Did not try the food but it was well presented and the locals recommended it but it is pricey. Worth a visit if you are staying nearby.

Small, friendly old fashioned Pub. Three small rooms with yard and garden to rear.Regular guest beers. Regulars are encouraged to bring "tat" back from holidays which are prodely displayed in front bar. Also famous for tree in the the gents (the gentry!)
