The Chandos Arms, Weston Turville

New couple have been running the pub for a year now and are doing very well, the pub is now bright, clean and warm good to see it has customers once again.
Good ales, usually a choice of four, good food, but do book ahead if you want Sunday roast as it gets very oversubscribed.

The Rothschild Arms, Aston Clinton

Decent old boozer, but do not visit if you like ale, they do not serve any!
The bar looks promising when you enter with pumps for Guinness, a choice of lagers, a smooth bitter and a cider all on draught, but if you ask for an ale you will be offered a bottle, what a let down!

The Pack Horse, Wendover

Visited last week, a bit dated but in a nice way, beers good (shame most are Fullers) no food served apart from a few dusty looking sausage rolls sitting uncovered on the back of the bar all night. Music from the TV was far too loud to be enjoyable.

The George and Dragon, Wendover

This is now one of the most popular drinking houses in Wendover. The Thai food is always excellent, they have good choice of lagers, Thatchers Gold cider on tap, and for the ale drinkers London Pride, Speckled Hen, local Tring breweries Sidepocket and Purity Mad goose ales are all good. And to make it even better they have a happy hour between 5pm and 6pm on Fridays and Saturdays. 2 Pints of Beer (that's any beer) or 2 Glasses of Wine for £5.00

The Red Lion Hotel, Wendover

Beer Chiswick was good on my last visit but the food was let down by rump steak you could sole your boots with.

New people now running the pub, very good landlords, shame they are only temporary. Now fully stocked, Yongs beer Gold and Special both superb + Bombardier. Pub is picking up again pub grub now being served and a few events at weekends, check out the website.
Well worth visiting again.

Avoid this pub, went there for a darts match last night, the landlord was surly and the pub was freezing cold. I don't know what is going on but they seem to have no stock. I had an awful pint of Doombar on arrival, that ran out, which left them with NO ale, they had also run out of Guinness, Youngs special, IPA, Directors, and had no cider. Apart form the darts players and a couple of the landlords mates the pub was unsurprisingly, DEAD.

The Partridge, Aston Clinton

It seems Ray Kindel is determined to knock this loveley old pub down, he has applied, yet again, to AVDC, to demolish it and build 2 houses.
This country needs more free houses not less, If he can't be assed to run it as a pub then he should sell it to someone who will.

The Partridge, Aston Clinton

Good news .... the Planning Inspectorate have refused the owner, Ray Kindel's appeal to demolish the pub and build houses.
It may stay a pub yet! ..... Lets hope, if he does not want to run it as a pub anymore, he will now sell it to someone who does.

The Bell, Kitchen and Bar, Waddesdon

Great little place, staffed by helpfull and friendly people. Beer (Tribute) was in superb condition, as was the Aspalls Suffolk Cider. Welcoming and cosy, but contemporary at the same time, not at all "up itself" like some eateries can be. The food is excellent all good, but do have the bucket of chips with watever you choose, they are awsome.

Great old pub, with fantastic staff, serving excellent authentic Thai food.
One word of warning though, the towel in the toilets must be a health hazard!!!!!!

Old Swan Cheddington, Cheddington

This great old country pub ticks all the boxes. It is well used by the locals, serving a good range of ales lagers and ciders. The St Austell Brewery Tribute Ale was in superb condition as was the Westons Stowford Press Cider. The staff are very attentive and could not be more obliging. The food is very good, we will return.

Mr Raymond Kindel is still trying to close down this viable and profitable village pub.
He has now applied for permission to demolish the pub and build 2 houses.
Lets hope AVDC refuse and he sells it to someone who is interested in running a pub

King William IV, Speen

The King William lV is a golden nugget. Great beer, great food and gluten free.

Pink and Lily, Princes Risborough

Good pub, great beer, friendly and helpfull staff. The menu reads well but the food on the plate is bland and a little disapointing.
I'm sure with a bit more effort they could do better.
