Trying too hard to be cool....odd mixture of folks, couples on a first date...the old King Eddies boys reliving their youth...huge and temting menu, but food not special,little details missing and service poor - good beer though.

Interior looks like a Wimpey Bar. Not a lot of soul, the old Joott, was seedy but quite happy go lucky. Door policy and pricing presumably an attempt to discourage visitors from Cannock.

very relaxed, staff good if a touch random, perfect place to drink red wine all day on a sunday.

big old ember inns job, good crowd on fri and sat especially during the summer, food average. Ken's quiz on a sunday is a cut above.

The Horse and Jockey, Freeford
less than promising identikit pub interior, but really good food and beer. Bar room is a proper boozers den.

The Crown Hotel, Nantwich
Jimbo hits the mark,good town centre pub....on the down side there were some fearsome lasses squealing at 'deal or no deal' on the big screen.
