A long walk from the centre of Lichfield but worth it. Good beer, a nice outside area, and very tidy inside.

Understand that it has been refurbished recently and is now renamed "The Owl".

You will see from previous comments that this pub/brasserie has undergone a refurb. We live within walking, distance and a few weeks back my wife and I had a drink there. It seemed pleasant enough with a trendy interior. Tonight, 11/11/09 my wife and I returned to try the restaurant out, I had steak which was OK my wife had medallions of pork sourced locally from Packington. Had to send it back because it was totally overcooked and dry. They did offer another meal which my wife accepted and was OK. Although by this time we could not eat together. The big problem though was with the toilets. The urinals were blocked and literally overflowing urine onto the floor. This was an existing problem as there was a sign saying beware wet floor. This meant that urine was then being trodden into the restaurant by all males visiting the toilet. I complained to the manager who confirmed this. So why were the toilets not closed. This was definately a health and safety issue. I WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!
