Pier Hotel, Ilfracombe

Popped in for lunch last week. Had a sarnie and a salad. Both nice. Nice seating area out the back. Bit of a suntrap. 3 beers from the Wizard brewery (it's their brewpub). Lundy Gold (4.1%) was very nice. Went back later for few more beers. Met the owner who gave me samples of the other 2 beers which were both nice. Dog friendly pub.

Had pint of Whitstable. Awful. Tasted sour. Mentioned it to both bar maids and got told it was ok without them trying it. Walked out. Went to Tottenham. Much better. Shame

The Horse and Jockey, Ironbridge

2 ales on. EPA and Boolangna (sp), a blonde ale. Both nice.

Friendly staff.

We both had food. missus raved about the steak pie. The pork belly I had was disapointing, slices of pork, more like a roast than pork belly. The apricot stuffing was normal stuff with few small pieces of apricot.
