George & Dragon, Watton at Stone
Pete who ran this pub has just moved to the golden fleece at braughing. the new owners used to run the george some time ago, i think. it's been a very good pub/restaurant, i hope it remains so.

Three Horseshoes, Watton at Stone
more a restaurant than a pub. nice beer garden, but on the horrifically busy a602. mcmullens beer, so don't expect too much, although things have improved since they moved from the old brewery, i think. food is brake brothers standard; open the packet, microwave, fry, grill. not terrible, though. prices are reasonable, for what it is. staff friendly, but a bit scatty; things can go wrong if busy.

the food is not what it was here a year or two ago. the prices are, though.
the bar area is pretty quiet, but nice enough. stowford press cider.

not a pub. you can get a couple of people sat at the bar, late on, but that's it. it's not a tapas bar anymore, either, but a steakhouse; same owners, though. good food, good service, good drinks selection, but not cheap.

looks lovely since the rebuild, but my god, the prices... and for so-so food.

this pub has recently changed hands. still a nice place to go for a beer, but the food is not what it was.
