Saw this pub had been included in the CAMRA 2013 Beer Guide, so thought I would give the place another go. Shouldn't have bothered! The Landlords home brewed beer is disgusting, foul tasting an absolute disgrace. How a respectable organization like CAMRA can include this place in the guide is beyond belief. Absolute crap!

Probably the best real ale in Glossop. Good ever changing selection kept in top condition. Draught Cider on handpump and superb quality bottled cider. Fortunately no Magners dishwater in sight! Unfortunately don't do food, but when I visited early evening some of the local had brought in a selection of cheese, pies etc. which were on offer for free, couldn't quite establish how often this occurs!!!

Not good, very poor beer and limited range of food. Draught cider was OK.

Superb, friendly pub with a great atmosphere and great tapas made on the premises out of quality ingredients and good value. Bottled and draft cider. They have band etc on upstairs, (though I've yet to go). Well worth a visit.

The Star Inn, Glossop
Unsurprisingly still the best real ale pub in Glossop, good selection of real ales, always kept and served in top condition.
