Couldn't get served - so went upstairs opposite to Brokers. Great landlady and friendly locals.

Had lunch there last week - not really a pub though was supporting Tring so some potential.

Visited with friends one evening, nice and welcoming with familiar faces from Red Lion & Anglers. IPA ok but could support local ales more afterall it is a freehouse.
Food average.

Full marks for supporting local beers - not entirely convinced about decor but a nice friendly pub.

Shame the last landlord has gone - he and his wife worked very hard and raised the standards. Still a great locals pub and deserves success.

Beers good, enjoyed the Thai food shame the "locals" are somewhat unfriendly - the pub deserves better

An obvious improvement in the garden are - very family friendly. Beers in good condition, apparently just been "Caste Marqueed" so getting there.

The Russell Arms, Butlers Cross
NIce restaurant area separated from bar, food well above average, definately a "gastro-pub", beers include Spitfire. Well worth a visit

Good selection of beers which landlord changes regularly - really is a "must visit"

Tring's Side Pocket wasn't as good as in other local pubs but otherwise very friendly pub and good "home" cooking.

Does a very good pint of Timothy Taylor's "Landlord", very busy on Boxing Day.
