The Alexandra, Wimbledon

Good grief, I thought pubs like this closed in the 70's, a single woman buys a drink and gets watched... Expensive , a microwaved so called "Roast Chicken" sandwich with chips and a vodka and tonic over eleven quid. But as the barman said "there's always Wetherspoons" Yeap, and I'll be going to The Wibbas in the future !

The Wheatsheaf, Tooting Bec

An awful pub, still spit , sawdust and urine. More shabby than chic. Smart arsed staff to match the yummy mummy factor.

Go to the Rose and Crown or King's Head instead.

Tooting Chav trash heaven

The Tooting Tram & Social, Tooting

Horrible place, like an outmoded indie victorian style public toilet.

Pretentious and overpriced. Don't even go there ...

The Long Room Bar and Hotel, Tooting

This has the reputation of being dodgy as far as the "Hotel" aspect goes.

And a bit spit and sawdust too

The Manor Bar & Grill, Tooting

Where has this pub been hiding ? Went there last friday and had an excellent steak dinner followed by a proper "Creme Brulee". Admittedely there was only Vier and Redstripe on tap, so must try harder for all the NHS real ale drinkers on that one... but NHS 10% discount , can't whack it

And hey, it far outshines the dreary Long Room and Tramshed, almost on a par with The Antelope. And Vanilla Vodka for the laydees .

As big Arnie would say "I'll be back " !

The Royal Oak, Borough

This pub has a high rating because it is a first class pub. It should be visited by breweries as an example of what a london pub should be, clean, good food, good conversation. And unpretentious, so stop slagging it off, plant acorns and grow a chain of Royal Oaks. Long may it stay open !

The Leather Bottle, Earlsfield

Thanks Leather Bottle for ignoring our request for a table because you were too busy looking after the mayoress ... you have just lost 500 worth of business !

Pivo Cafe Bar, York

Previously missed this little gem as it looked sleazy, but you can't judge a book by the cover ...

Timmermann's strawberry beer was a delight, and my partner was on the hard stuff.

Great beer , but this place is in danger of trying too hard to be bijoux.

Otherwise, good things come in small packages, will go again.

Visit 11th December 2009.

Expensive pub, but on it's way to becoming totally brilliant.

Check your ladies loo's more often Phil !

Too much choice on that menu, and dishes could be better, ie cook the veg more. Less choice, better nosh Phil...and don't chuck us out at 11pm. Drop the poncy service charge, it belongs in the 70's.

Otherwise a good night all round.

The Bedford, Balham

Visit on 14th December 2009.

Entertainment cool , but at 14.50 a head, I expect a seat you can see the stage from. The act should seek a better venue as they were class ...

Totally rubbish pub, too dark, too expensive. Ladies loo's did not lock and had no paper. Pub caters for the area, upper middle class no brainers.

One out of ten - could do better.

The Leather Bottle, Earlsfield

We went there on 16th May 2008, no yummy mummies thank god. Mezzanine room needs decorating badly.
Manager wonderful and fitted our party of 12 into the restuarant at short notice and we had a great time, food cooked to order, none of the usual pre-prepared pub grub.
Freezing cold draught Kronenbourg Blanc - lovely.

Shhh South West London's best kept secret !!!!!
