The Ravensbourne Arms, Lewisham

I recently moved to the area and was relieved that there was a Antic pub close by. Ravenbourne is great and a breathe of fresh air compared to a lot of the other pubs in Lewisham. Great range of beers, reasonable prices, cosy fit out and good mix of people. Food is also good. Get down there you won't regret it!

The Ladywell Tavern, Ladywell

This pub has re-opened now. I have only moved to the area so never went to the old pub. I have been a few times since it re-opened late 2013 and each time it has been better and better. It seems to be getting a good crowd on Friday and Saturday nights. It has a good range of beers inc. ale (maybe a little pricey for the area), open fireplace, live music some nights and food looks good. If your a local and you have not dropped down yet you should get on down and support it!

Ink Rooms, Battersea

Recently visited the new Ink Rooms formerly known as Microbar... I was dubious as I thought for sure that the range of beers would not be as good... Seems to be the same wonderful selection of beers both on tap and in bottles. The guy behind the bar is very knowledgeable about the beers which is great as this is often lacking... Friendly as well.

I think the new fit out is good as well - improved seating, better bathrooms, making the lower room near the garden more bar like (less like some ones dodgy garage) and access to the bathrooms from downstairs is a big bonus. The beer garden here is great as well (always has been). The new american/tattoo parlour theme is fine and as it gets more 'worn in' will feel better.

Looks like they have live music, trivia and book clubs as well... so something for everyone! Definately better then anything else on offer in the area!

Nice work guys... glad that it re-opened with much of same goodness of the Microbar.

The Roundhouse, Battersea

Liked it better as the Freemason's, sadly they got rid of the slightly wacky mirror art and replaced with boring memorabilia/posters... rest of it seems to be much the same...

I always get annoyed here by the waiter/esses and managers/owner standing around when people are lining up at the bar. They generally have one designated bar guy (who is very friendly and efficient). Is it too much to expect that they could serve at the bar and help the poor bar guy out when needed ? Esp. when they are obviously doing nothing else? These are the things that make the difference...

Good selection of beer and the food is quite good ...

The Goat, Battersea

Great selection beer (real ale, international and ciders) and good food for reasonable . Only issue is that it is ALWAYS busy so it is often hard to get a seat... But that is really a minor complaint. One of the better pubs in the area!

The Lavender Restaurant and Bar, Battersea

I live in the area and would really like to want to go to this pub... but I don't. The bar staff are not particulary friendly - surly even. They tend to have a lot of people standing around doing nothing when the que at the bar it getting longer... Is there any reason why the waitresses can't serve behind the bar especially when know one is eating? If they must stand around could they do it a bit more discreetly so I don't feel so angry as I wait at the bar...

The Kings Head, Earls Court

I went here on a sunday arvo for a few beers with friends. It is great place to sit back and let the afternoon escape you. Good range of beers, wine, & the lamb roast was awesome. Good young vibe & friendly staff which is hard to get in this town! Highly recommended.
