Gastropub on a corner of Wandsworth Common, a short walk from Clapham Junction station. There was an upmarket crowd with a few dogs. Wandle was the only real ale. A bit of a disappointment, in all. Apparently I came here 8½ years ago, as I reviewed it on here. But, I don't recall it. Downgrading my rating to a 4/10.

Even by the standards of the area, £4.20 for a pint of Adnams Lighthouse is extortionate robbery. The bar staff should be wearing masks.

Be warned!!

We've ranked it as the WORST ever pub lunch. Seriously, if you're reading this, save yourself. It will only ruin your day if you go. The food was burnt, probably because is took 1.5 hrs to serve? Oh...and that's just the charcuterie board. Now that really is a talent. Everything else was similarly inedible. While the food was shocking...it wasn't quite as bad as the language from the kitchen. Educational for us, but even moreso for our 6 and 8yr old kids. We learned a few things.

They also managed to overcharge for the inedible food. I love optimism, but that's just wrong. Service / non-existant. Food...think 1970s comedy TV bad. As for atmosphere...well...while we all loved Fawlty Towers...nobody really wants to be on the receving end.

Please...save yourselves from the worst gastronomic experience ever. Trust us...this place is so awful its almost comical. If you're a sado-masochist however...you'll be tipping heavily!

Pub 7 of the Crawl.

£15.20 for 4 pints not too bad for the area.

Another gastro pub but this one is not so bad. Beer was good and the place had a OK feel about it.

One of the better pubs of the night. Definitely better then the Powder Keg Diplomacy, which I walked out of..,.what were they thinkin?

Visited it as a new Beer Guide entry, but instantly remembered the pub from 3 years ago as Freemasons. Typical middle-income London open plan, open-kitchen pub, but with a fair bit of character. Significant refurbishment (?) underway, and welcome at 4pm distinctly muted, but the Wandle was sbove average (although I think at 1.90 a half it ought to have been).
