The Goat, Battersea

This pub has just had a refurb - wow, what a great transformation. Much more of a foodie now.... Interesting selection of bottled beers.

The Marylebone, Marylebone

Just revisited after quite a while. Still a great pub. Ales are down to one now but I can see why. Plenty of other things on offer.

Try their bloody mary with chilli and marmite vodka.

The Tournament, West Brompton

The beer was good, service quick, and a BBQ outside. The Assie manager was a a character. All in all a good visit!

The Couch, Soho

I thought this was a great pub. I see that there are a few bad experiences with food but our food was great.
We were not intending on eating but were told at the bar that they had started a new menu and asked if we would like to have a look. We were a little dubious at first but were pleasantly surprised at both the quality and quantity. The wine menu was good and prices really good for the area.

The Marylebone, Marylebone

As I run pubs myself, I tend to be over critical when I visit a bar. I must say that I was genuinly impressed at what I saw at The Marylebone. The staff were good and not arrogant. The Landlord was friendly and was keen to swap ideas with me. I tried a pint of both the Tribute and Doombar and was pleasantly surprised as most cocktail/champagne/wine bars don't have much interest in Ales. Unfortunaly the IPA was off at the time which was a pity as it was a hot day.

I will be back and recommend this little gem to anyone.
