A range of ales from the Backyard Brewery at the moment, very pleasant. A down to earth pub -- like others of its nature, "it's a pub. It sells beer." Not many people in on a Bank Holiday Monday but it was raining.

Chosen as a place to look out for, as I made my way into Solihull for the first time, as I create the brummiering. This place had nearly the highest score here - so needed to be checked out. Large, old school pub - geared up for the football. Had a quick pint of decent real ale (forget which) but it wasnt hobgoblin. This seems to be the favourite solihull tipple.

On a first visit I quite like this pub. There`s nothing outstanding about the place at all, large old fashioned building, basic decor, basic (well kept) beers at a reasonable price, no frills boozer. It`s a slightly guilty pleasure of a weekend I`m told....mature clientelle having a right mash up to cheesy tunes...can`t be a bad thing..decent and worth a visit.

Extremely noisy on our Saturday evening visit, with a disco in full force. The Sadlers Arms is a nice building in the town centre. Although the beer range was a tad limited, with only Marstons Best Bitter & EPA & Wychwood Hobgoblin & Paddy's Stout available. I could imagine this would be a pleasant pub to drink in during the day. But on a Saturday evening, it was too busy and too noisy.
