| Used to have insufficient room to swing a cat, but much better now it has expanded (took over the shop next door). The bar billiards has now been moved here which means less encroachment from the toilets and tv. The Pool has also been brought in from out of the cold. | Against my better judgement I've found myself in here a few times over the last 12 months. Its still not my cup of tea but beer is well kept the locals are friendly enough (a good variety of folk!) and the garden (victorian walled etc) is a sun trap in the summer. it doesnt look much from the outside but worth perservering. raveydavey - 11 Jan 2007 01:25 |
| A good traditional pub. Taken over by Wendy and Mick a little while back now. Have cleaned the place up, reintroduced bar snacks at luchtime. real ale available. Seperate pool room at the foot of the beer garden in the old Brewery buiding. Bar billiards and darts both supported by a couple of teams. A good friendly atmosphere - worth a visit.
