Nice looking pub inside. Staff trying their very best but too young to fully understand how ale should be served. Cloudy it should not be. Looking at some reviews wonder if that applies to the food also! Robinsons Unicorn was in very poor condition and shouldn't have been served at all! A bit of a dour atmosphere but nevertheless was in good company so enjoyed the evening. Can't possibly recommend from a beer point of view but have been to worse pubs so if you're a lagerite you probably would get on ok here. To be fair I would give it another go if in the area.

just been for lunch at the leigh arms, had high hopes as the pub is in a great spot and the menu looked good. Got off to a bad start as twice the waitress came back after ordering saying one of our starters and one of our mains had sold out at only 2 o'clock! the starter was nice and well presented but the main was poor at best. the chicken was dry and flavourless and surpisingly aneimic considering it was "panfried" the potatos had lack of seasoning if any. my partners 10 oz ribeye was more like a 6 oz and was so thin it could of been mistaken for a minute steak! it was also dry and the potato wedges were hard in the middle and bordering on burnt. Nobody came to ask if everything was ok with our meal so nothig was said. In all it was a huge dissapointment and definately not worth the money, we will not be returning.

Really lovely spot - enjoyed a great seafood sharing platter and a selection of other starters - all food was really fresh & prepared to a high standard. Staff were friendly, wine was good and atmosphere pleasant. Only complaint was that it was raining and we couldn't sit in the lovely outside area

Went to the Leigh Arms for my sons 18th birthday lunch with some members of the family. I was dissapointed. Our Waitress looked really unhappy and was very slow with our service. The atmosphere was not stimulating and the food very bland. Will not recomend this venue at all

It now sells real ale. A large place, if a bit soulless- more restaurant than pub. But it can be pleasant to sit outside on a warm summer's evening.
