| Light and airy pub that was one of the most popular pubs we visited on our 12 pub crawl of Herefordshire (incidentally the last pub we visited - the Live & Let Live at Bringsty Common was equally popular but not listed on the site). Beers were all from Wye Valley - Bitter, HPA & Butty Bach. Robinsons Flagon Cider was also on. Seating is a little limited. But we managed to secure a couple of armchairs in the rear bar. | Yes its refurbished but its still the jewel in Bromyards crown. Wye Valley beers make this a place of pilgramage.The customers can seem a little eccentric but they add to the charm.This is after all Herefordshire.See you in there. bee578 - 4 Feb 2009 14:51 |
| Alas - refurbished! All one bar with exposed wood and stone. Ill-advised. It was a glorious treat before the makeover. Simple and traditional. That's progress for you... At least I saw it in its pristine glory. And the beer is still OK. Cheers Alph_river - 5 Jul 2008 23:58 |
