user reviews of McGoverns, Willesden

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Pretty typical of Willesden bars (can't say pub as there aren't any in the area) a crap hole frequented by the local low life - add all the others in the area to the list ....Kitsch Inn, Angies III etc etc. The upper crust around these parts buy cider from Somerfield and drink on the benches opposite the police station. (who the fkkk give this place any mark above zero ?)

This place is pretty much what youd expect from an Irish high street pub; the staff were nice enough and the other punters were well oiled. A standard range of draught was available and the Guinness was very nice.

There is a dart board in the back corner of the pub and there are also a couple of plasma screens that were showing the Eurovision song contest. I cant remember seeing any signs advertising sport, but I would be very surprised if this place didnt have Sky Sports and Setanta.

There is nothing that really makes this pub stand out from the thousands of other Irish pubs, so I probably wont be drinking in this particular one again.

Trad Irish boozer. Nothing much ever happens here but good for authentic craic.
