This pub is a pleasant one mile walk from a campsite I stayed at and I felt right at home straight away on my first visit.

Its every wall and inch of ceiling space is covered in pub related regalia and references to Robin Hood. The staff are friendly and serve a fine array of ale (as well as standard lagers if thats your bag). Plenty of parking, a large beer garden backing onto a rural setting. Pool table is 50p a game.

If I could mark this down I would say that the music on both occasions I came here was utterly dreadful. Obviously, this is down to taste but not many people are into cheap cover versions of Elkie Brooks and Carpenters numbers on seemingly endless loop at a fairly loud volume. The food was adequate but it was very obviously out of the freezer. Perfectly edible, but no attempt was made to dress this fact up.

That said, I am the type of person to not get too carried away with matters away from the beer and the service, for this is what a pub should be assessed on. For that reason, I am giving this pub a high mark.

Great Food and FRIENDLY staff.
A visit here made the day complete.
The children enjoyed themselves on the NEW PLAY EQUIPMENT so my wife and I could enjoy a drink.
We had trouble getting the children off the climbing frame, they were enjoying so much.
We can't wait to go back

We have just had an excellent lunch at the Robin Hood. The food was first class, service good, the pub ambience just as good country pub should be. We will be eating there again.

Finally had dinner in this pub. There was a large choice on the menu and the food was very tasty. The staff were very friendly and the price was very reasonable. Would highly recommend and definitely return. The annual beer fest is definitely worth a trip too.

We visited this pub on Friday evening. As we got there, the place was full of families and kids. Despite our immiediate reservations about the pub, it turned out to be a great place to visit. The beer was top notch, we had a couple of bottles of Rjoca at a very reasonable price and enjoyed great pub food. To top it all the service was excellent. Would definately go back next time I'm in that neck of the woods.
