What a lovely family pub. First time I had been in for a long time and it was a pleasure for me and my family. lovely warm cosy atmosphere and children welcome which makes a nice change. I also noticed that they have lots of live entertainment which we will be attending. Food basic but good pub food. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area.

How things change. Terrible visit yesterday. Under new management, food now possibly the worst ever. Grisly, grey burger (prob picked up in Iceland) in just a bun, not even a leaf of sald. Soggy limp chips, and rank peas. You'd get much better from a roadside burger van and pay less too.

Atmosphere inside depressing, back in with the all-pine look and no decoration. What a shame to see a really nice pub local transformed into a run of the mill boozer. Perhaps the fact we were the only people in at 2pm on a nice Saturday says it all.

Was pretty impressed with this pub, lots more to it than you see from the road. The inside is modern but nicely done, avoiding the all-pine look you find so often. And they've got bags of propper butchers pork scratchings.

Good ales on pump, food menu looked nice and there's a lovely garden out back with swings for kids. Someone clearly goes to a bit of trouble over the flower beds too.

I like this pub and has become my local while working in the area. It has four quality real ales on all the time and the homemade food is very nice. They have a pool table big plasma screen which they show all the big football matches. There is a separate non smoking family area which they have various games to keep the kids busy. There is also a beer garden with a kids climbing frame. Worth a vist if in the area.
