| Very busy pub opposite the Opera house which seemed to have a good mixture of clientele... Cant remember all the beers but I was very impressed with the 5.7% Smokeless beer from the Red Willow brewery in Macclesfield. Lovely smooth pint with just a hint of smoke... | Had a meal in this pub - my husband ordered steak and ale pie - the pie was off not just a bit off but furry!!! I called the staff member over who took it way she then returned and thanked us for calling this to their attention!! No mention of replacement or refund!! | This building is on 2 floors which was slightly confusing as I approached from the main road side & found ourselves in the top floor carvery. Downstairs which is street level on the other side & opposite the Opera House is the bar area. Multi roomed with a variety of seating options its interesting & comfortable. Thwaite's - Wainwright, Marston's - EPA, Abbot Ale & Sharp's - Doom Bar on my visit. Staff were friendly & efficient - I didn't have to wait more than about a minute despite it being very busy.
