Visited this pub last Friday before nearby football. I think three ales were on, I had the "Prince of Wales Best Bitter" which was Caledonian House Ale (4.1%) badged for the pub, tasted good, and only £2.90. Another Caledonian beer was also available.

Two rooms and bars with locals chatting in each. Doing reasonable business at 7pm on a Friday. Front bar has a dart board and juke box. Various "seasonal" rugby decorations adorning the place. Blackboard indicated a quiz night and an upcoming mystic/seance evening (ooer....).

Recommended.

I quite liked this pub. It`s a traditional freehouse outside of Ilford town centre. A friendly welcome is offered. Although some of the locals seemed a little strange. There are a couple of rooms and pub grub is served. Beers on were Holts Two Hoots, Greene King Abbot, Youngs Bitter & Wychwood Hobgoblin. One of the better pubs we tried in the East End yesterday.

Decent, traditional pub. Friendly welcome and good service. The ales are well-kept and reasonably priced. I didn't try the food, but it looked promising. A hard to find proper pub. Well worth a visit.

Best pub Ilford bar none. Normally 6 ales on in decent nick - especially the Youngs Ordinary. Well done Dave!
