Actually not a bad 'Spoons in an attractive high-ceilinged old building. The Fyne Ales Vital Spark was good, but topped by the James Watt, a beer produced by Strathaven Ales for Wetherspoons. Should've stayed here and not bothered going to Cappielow. jagsfan - 23 Feb 2011 12:07 |
Three months in Greenock?? You poor sod- must have been a serious offence. jagsfan - 17 Oct 2010 19:26 |
Just spent three months in Greenock. Made the pub my local. Every changing range of real ales, well served at Weatherspoon's prices. Food not too bad. Shandychica even enjoyed the Haggis neeps and tatties, but the Scotish pies were her favorite. Definatly the best pub in town. captaineric - 17 Oct 2010 19:08 |
Average Spoons with friendly staff; just about your best bet (with the Spiinaker) for Scottish beer other than IPA in the area ! Good Orkney Dark too mtaylor40 - 27 Aug 2007 21:17 |
I disagree, When you're with a good bunch of mates the James Watt can be a rare night out. I like the place, it can just sometimes get a bit repetitive, with everyone going there constantly. x_enemyschild_x - 1 Apr 2006 15:08 |
