Average pub that does not stand out in Camden. Trueman's Zephyr £4.15.
The sort of price you expect to pay around here, just seemed too expensive for this pub.

Visited this place of a lunch time, not many people in but still took ages to get served!! Good choice of beers, and you can't complain about the quality of the food. The bar area is also separated into sections so not too overbearing.

The thing I like about this place is that each time you go you notice something different. Eg. Lampshade made entirely from bic pens! I like those kinid of touches, it keeps it quirky and interesting. There is also a selection of games to play if that's your thing... Not sure you'd want to stay long enough to compete a game of monopoly though... Although the wait at the bar could make it possible!

Not bad. Lots of choice of beers, food looked good, friendly enough staff. But as others seem to also have observed, it's average really. And when you are paying London prices for a pint, somehow that doesn't quite seem enough.

I'd had friends speak highly about this pub so may have had the hopes built up a bit high before my visit.

It was ok which I guess is damning with faint praise - having chosen this pub for the first pint of 2012 our wait was increased that little bit more by a complete lack of barstaff and only two ales on tap (annoyingly one wasn't the Wandles which had a bit of advertising up around the place). The UBU was alright though.

Another oddity was when the brunch menus were removed and replaced with the evening menu - went to order food and was told it's not on yet despite having just received the menu (which didn't have kitchen hours).

I'd like to say if I was in the area I'd stop off for one......but really, I'd wander around to the Ednboro Castle (which in the end was exactly what we did).

A huge improvement on previous incarnations and a good place afore & after gigs at Koko
