Average pub that does not stand out in Camden. Trueman's Zephyr £4.15.
The sort of price you expect to pay around here, just seemed too expensive for this pub.

Visited this place of a lunch time, not many people in but still took ages to get served!! Good choice of beers, and you can't complain about the quality of the food. The bar area is also separated into sections so not too overbearing.

The thing I like about this place is that each time you go you notice something different. Eg. Lampshade made entirely from bic pens! I like those kinid of touches, it keeps it quirky and interesting. There is also a selection of games to play if that's your thing... Not sure you'd want to stay long enough to compete a game of monopoly though... Although the wait at the bar could make it possible!

Not bad. Lots of choice of beers, food looked good, friendly enough staff. But as others seem to also have observed, it's average really. And when you are paying London prices for a pint, somehow that doesn't quite seem enough.

I'd had friends speak highly about this pub so may have had the hopes built up a bit high before my visit.

It was ok which I guess is damning with faint praise - having chosen this pub for the first pint of 2012 our wait was increased that little bit more by a complete lack of barstaff and only two ales on tap (annoyingly one wasn't the Wandles which had a bit of advertising up around the place). The UBU was alright though.

Another oddity was when the brunch menus were removed and replaced with the evening menu - went to order food and was told it's not on yet despite having just received the menu (which didn't have kitchen hours).

I'd like to say if I was in the area I'd stop off for one......but really, I'd wander around to the Ednboro Castle (which in the end was exactly what we did).

A huge improvement on previous incarnations and a good place afore & after gigs at Koko

A big improvement on previous occupants of this corner including the execrable Edward's , the Lyttelton ticks most boxes if you are young and metropolitan, even to the extent of airing an obscure, but good Fujiya and Miyagi album on a recent visit. No longer in the first flush of youth, however, I found its combination of pleasing factors (food/ale/pretty people/tasteful furnishings) perhaps a little too smooth.

Very nice pub, lots of different drinks and a great menu with very good food on offer, and a dam nice steak was had... Think I have found my new watering hole in Camden, much better than the rest with enough space to relax and chill out...

love this pub, 4 really good ales on draught, with not the normal draught range i.e fruli, estrella, blue moon etc...
really friendly staff, always willing to help and go the extra mile.
Been in four times now and i will always make a trip to the Lyttelton when in camden!
Sunday roasts looked amazing, didnt have one but everyone i could hear were raving about them, which is great for a high street pub!

Originally the Southampton Arms and formerly the Crescent, the pub's current name dates from around mid-2010 and is named in honour of the late jazz trumpeter and host or Radio 4's 'I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue', Humphrey Lyttelton; it's at the junction of Camden High Street and Mornington Crescent.

It's one of the better pubs along the Camden Strip (though this isn't difficult); a few real ales are available as is Aspall's on draught. The loos are good too.
