| A good refurb has given this once tired old pub a new lease of life. Serial publicans Rob and Val have weaved their magic to ensure punters get a good pint and nice atmosphere, indeed what more does anyone want. The "Gallows Pale Ale" is a winner and "Balliolls Tipple" is fine - just a trumped up session bitter really. For a change the keg beers here are acutually quite enticing and will happily sup an Oyster Stout (oh happy days loughborough) or the Shipwreck Pale Ale or whatever you call it.
