user reviews of the Lord Nelson Inn, Topsham

Now just called the Nelson.
We popped in on a saturday afternoon and we were the only people in the pub for the whole time (2 pints). Not sure why it was so quiet as the interior was actually quite nice with a good mixture of seating areas and given a bit more of an atmosphere i'm sure we would have stayed here for a bit of a session.
My pints i had both Doombar and fosters were great and well priced for Topsham.
This could be a great place not sure why people seemed to stay away from here.

Topsham's forgotten pub, given the other places to visit.

Mainly for food, but a section is retained, for those just wanting a pint.
Had lunch here yesterday and enjoyed it.
Doombar, Proper Job and Otter on offer. The later being very drinkable.
Friendly welcome and freshly cooked food. They provide smaller portions,
so ShandyChica was happy.

It is difficult to drag yourself away from the other great pubs in Topsham.
Bridge, Exeter, Globe etc. But give the Nelson a try, especially if you are eating as well.

Town centre pub with own car park. Beamed ceiling adds a bit of character to the dining area. Decent Sunday roast.
